Hundreds of adults with learning disabilities took part in this year’s Happy Healthy Fun Day in North Finchley.
Barnet Mencap and Barnet Borough Council hosted the event at the Trinity Centre in Nether Street with the aim of promoting healthy living.
All 400 guests had the chance to try out a range of activities including dance sessions, Zumba, martial arts and yoga.
Health and dental checks were on offer as well as information on health and fitness, sports and keeping safe.
Shelley Gibbons, Barnet Mencap’s community project manager, said: “There is a lot of research to suggest people with disabilities tend to have poorer health than the general population. So the event encourages them to get health checks as well as have fun being healthy.
“There was lots of dancing and pampering. It was an amazing day and everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
Members of Barnet Mencap’s Drink it Juice Bar were also on hand to offer fresh fruit drinks.
