Driver dies after car collides with fence in Trotters Bottom, on A1 Barnet Bypass
A 33-year-old man died when his car collided with a fence.
The man, from north London, was driving alone in his Vauxhall Corsa on the A1 Barnet Bypass near the Trotters Bottom junction, at around 8.30pm on Friday, September 13.
It is thought he lost control of his car before it mounted the kerb, collided with a fence and overturned.
He suffered major chest injuries and was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.
PC Gareth Rees, who is investigating the incident, said: “At this stage I do not believe any other vehicles were involved, however I would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or who saw the Corsa travelling before the incident.
“They may have information that will help establish exactly what happened.”
Anyone with information about the incident should contact the police on 101 quoting Operation Duplex.
