A man was hit with a brick before being stabbed and robbed as he made his way home from a shopping trip.

Police were called at 1.22am on Tuesday, September 17 to Princes Avenue at the junction with Stag Lane, Colindale, where the 23-year-old was suffering from stab wounds. 

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Police have cordoned off the junction and officers remain at the scene.
