Middlesex University, Hendon, graduate showcases clothing line at London Fashion Week
Models were feeling blue when they strutted their stuff down the catwalk wearing a Middlesex University graduate’s creations.
Fashion graduate Luke Archer, who studied at the Hendon university, showcased his label’s debut collection De L’Ocean at London Fashion Week.
His jazzy blue outfits, which include printed blouses, sequined skirts and an ultra-violet reactive dress, have been inspired by the colours and textures of the ocean including squid skin.
Earlier this year, the talented designer was crowned the Alfa Romeo Young Designer of the Year 2013 with his former university classmate, George Jenkins.
Mr Archer said: “We were extremely excited to be showing at London Fashion Week this season, and extremely pleased with how well the collection has been received by those who attended this evening.
“We were particularly pleased with how well attendees reacted to the inclusion of colour change and light emitting materials within our new collection”.
His debut collection was supported by the university, based in The Burroughs.
