Hundreds of pupils attend Middlesex University's Futures Festival
Six hundred pupils descended on Middlesex University to get a taste of student life this week.
Pupils from 13 schools and colleges visited the Hendon campus for the Futures Festival where they were invited on tours around the campus, visited mini fresher’s fairs and chatted with Middlesex alumni.
They also took part in taster sessions creating dresses from paper, directing and styling a photo shoot, attending a mock trial in the Hendon Town Hall court chamber, producing a news reel and programming mobile robots.
Elita Eliades-Ahmed, education liaison manager at the university, said: “It’s often difficult for young people to decide which career path to pursue if they haven’t had a chance to experience the sort of projects they will be taking on at university.
“Futures Festival was aimed at helping students make more informed decisions about their future in a fun and experiential way. Students are inspired by getting hands on experience in the technology labs or dance studios.”
