Woman arrested in connection with death of Christie McHugh has bail extended
A woman arrested in connection with a hit and run collision which killed a mother-of-two in Barnet has had her bail extended.
Christie McHugh, 33, was flung from the bonnet of a car into a Belisha beacon at a zebra crossing in East Barnet Road on March 4.
Mrs McHugh, who was a personal assistant at Luxx Light Technology in High Street, High Barnet, was pronounced dead at the scene and a post-mortem gave the cause of death as head injuries.
She is thought to have been involved in a dispute with another woman driver before the incident happened at approximately 6.40pm.
The driver drove away from the scene but police later arrested a 50-year-old woman at an address in Barnet, and a Vauxhall Insignia was seized.
Her bail was extended in April to a date in September. She has since been rebailed until late October.
