Elderly woman killed in private ambulance crash on A41 Watford Way in Mill Hill
An elderly woman was killed in a car crash as she travelled in the back of a private ambulance yesterday evening.
The 85-year-old was travelling in the rear of the silver ambulance when it was involved in a collision with two cars on the A41 Watford Way in Mill Hill at 6.25pm.
She suffered serious injuries in the crash, close to the junction with The Rise next to Mill Hill Park, and, despite being rushed to hospital, was pronounced dead at 8.07pm.
The woman’s next of kin have been informed and a post mortem will take place in due course.
The two vehicles involved were a Volkswagen Touareg and Fiat Punto but police are keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured car that turned left into The Rise from the A41 at the time of the collision.
No arrests have been made.
