Barnet Police release name of elderly crash victim following death on A41 Watford Way in Mill Hill
An elderly woman who died following a three-car crash on a dual carriageway in Mill Hill has been named by police.
Annetta Ellison, 85, suffered a heart attack after the private ambulance she was travelling in was involved in a collision with two cars on the A41 Watford Way, at the junction with The Rise, on Tuesday evening.
Mrs Ellison, of Sunningdale Lodge, on the Stonegrove estate in Edgware, was rushed to hospital following the collision at 6.25pm but pronounced dead at 8.07pm.
A Volkswagen Touran and a Fiat Punto were also involved in the crash but police are looking to speak to the driver of a dark coloured car that turned into The Rise at the time of the accident.
Officers believe they may have information vital to the investigation into the woman’s death, though no arrests have been made.
A post mortem found Mrs Ellison died of heart failure as a result of the collision. Her next of kin have been informed and an inquest will be opened and adjourned at North London Coroner’s Court today.
