Drivers can have their number plates secured with theft-proof screws at a police event to prevent car crime.
Police officers will be fitting cars, bikes and motorcyclists with tamper proof plate screws and security markings at the 'plate safe' event at the Sainsburys car park in Mutton Lane, Potters Bar tomorrow between 10am and 12pm.
The Plate Safe scheme, run by Hertsmere Community Safety Partnership, aims to reduce the amount of number plate thefts and car thefts in the area.
