Drivers stuck for more than one hour behind Stirling Corner crash between Edgware and Borehamwood
Drivers have been stuck for more than an hour on the approach to the Stirling Corner roundabout following a serious accident earlier this morning.
Police closed off the northbound A1 Barnet Way near Apex Corner following the collision at 8.30am.
Firefighters from Borehamwood tweeted that they assisted a person trapped in a car, but no further details have yet been released by the emergency services.
Tailbacks are still stretching as far back as Mill Hill Circus and there are long queues around Mill Hill and Edgware.
Traffic reports are continuing to predict long delays, with some drivers taking to Twitter to vent their frustration.
Riri Salem wrote: “An hour later and I'm still on A1, Apex Corner is still just behind me, engine is still off and I'm still in the exact same place.”
