'Prolific' criminal from Cricklewood arrested in Burnt Oak stream after attempting to give police the slip
A “prolific” low-level criminal attempted to slip away from police by jumping into a stream when he was spotted breaking his curfew.
Marvin Morgan, of Westcroft Close, Cricklewood, was spotted by out of doors by officers in Burnt Oak, outside of his curfew hours between 7pm and 7am on Monday.
He was chased on foot down Watling Avenue before running into a stream where he was eventually detained and arrested.
On Tuesday, he was remanded in custody to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court the following day, where he was sentenced for breaching the curfew.
Morgan, described as a "prolific offender" by police, was handed two weeks in prison for shoplifting on September 20 and six weeks in prison, to run consecutively, for interfering with a vehicle on September 30.
