Teenager hit by car on A1 Great North Way in Hendon due to be discharged from hospital
A teenager who was hit by a car on a Hendon dual carriageway is due to be discharged from hospital this week, according to police.
The 16-year-old sustained head, chest and pelvic injuries when he was hit by a red Nissan Micra on Great North Way (A1), near the junction with Tenterden Drive on Friday.
He was rushed to the major trauma centre at St Mary’s Hospital following the collision shortly after 7.30am.
Barnet Police said today he had received treatment for whiplash, a scrape to the face and a cut to the leg over the weekend but was expected to be discharged “soon”.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
