Barnet Market set to reopen after refurbishment under management of Saunders Markets
Barnet Market is set to reopen under new management after refurbishment to improve the site.
Saunders Markets, which runs sites including New Covent Garden, will manage the historic stall set up, which will be increased to a 56-pitch capacity when it reopens on Saturday, November 9.
Developers William Pears took ownership of the site earlier this year under a £32million takeover of The Spires shopping centre, in High Street, High Barnet.
Today they announced they had appointed Saunders Markets to run the St Albans Road site, which has been resurfaced and had other improvements including new fences.
The owners have promised additional activities and attractions as well as the market which they are due to announce in the coming weeks.
