Barnet CCG launches Choose Well health campaign
A new campaign has been launched in Barnet to provide people with information on how to choose the right NHS service this winter.
Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has set up the Choose Well campaign, which will run in Barnet, Enfield and Haringey over coming months to help patients decide whether they need to see a GP, visit an urgent care centre or go to A&E.
Dr Sue Sumners, GP and chairman of Barnet CCG, said: “We are coming up to winter, which is the busiest time for the NHS. This is the season which puts most pressure on health services.
“We want to make sure people can get the help they need as quickly as possible. Patients can help with this by making sure they choose the right options for them. This campaign aims to ensure people have a better understanding of the choices available and allow them to get access to the right services quickly.
“Whether it is checking online, a trip to the pharmacist or an appointment at the GP, if people choose well they will get the right service for them and help the NHS to help them.”
A series of flyers, leaflets, posters, adverts and online information via www.barnetccg.nhs.uk/ has been set up providing explanation on self-treatment as well as GP services, urgent care centres and A&E units.
