Stay warm this winter with two Barnet care homes
Free dancing activities will be available at two care homes to show elderly people how to stay warm during winter months.
Hadley Lawns Care Home and The Arkley Nursing Home, both in Barnet, will treat people to a live performance and dance movement session as part of their Get Ready for Winter campaign.
Guests will be invited to stay for afternoon tea where they will be given free advice on how to keep physically and emotionally well over the winter.
Siobhan Drane, community and partnerships manager at Bupa Care Services, said: "As well as giving practical information and advice on keeping physically well, we feel it’s equally important to improve the feel-good factor amongst elderly community communities through social events and entertainment.
“We’ll be on hand to offer the best possible advice to help keep older people warm and well in their own homes for as long as possible.”
The events will be held on Tuesday, November 12 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Hadley Lawns and on Wednesday, November 13 at the Arkley Nursing Home from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
