Remembrance Day services in Barnet - find one in your area
Remembrance Day services will take place across Barnet this weekend in tribute to those who have been killed or injured in conflict.
The borough’s main annual commemoration will be held at the Hendon War memorial from 10.40am, followed by a two minutes' silence at 11am – but other services will be held at locations listed below.
Ex-servicemen, Territorial Army personnel and cadets will be joined by local councillors and Barnet Mayor Councillor Melvin Cohen, who will lay a wreath at the foot of the memorial before a parade to Hendon Town Hall.
Cllr Cohen said: “Remembrance Sunday gives us all a chance to reflect and commemorate the sacrifices made by so many in the service of their country during times of war.
“As well as being a poignant reminder of those who have lost their lives, or been affected by conflict, it should also remind us of those currently risking their lives on a daily basis while on operations.”
