A 13-year-old actor will star in a new feature film alongside Oscar-winner Sir Ben Kingsley.

Adam Wright, who attends Susi Earnshaw Theatre School in High Barnet, plays the young version of the hero Rob Cole, in the feature film The Physician.

The film is based on Noah Gordon’s novel set in the 11th century. It tells the story about Rob Cole, a boy who is left a penniless orphan when his mother dies.

The boy grows determined to become a physician and conquer death, traveling to Persia to study medicine.

Adam walked up the red carpet on Monday alongside his co-stars Tom Payne and Stellan Skasguard before the world premiere of the film in Germany.

This is not Adam’s first taste of fame, having also starred in The Awakening, as well as Lord of the Flies at Regent's Park open air theatre and in the short film Z1, which has just won Best British short at the British Independent Film Awards.
