A teenager accused of robbing a bank in Edgware refused to leave prison to attend his court appearance today.

Maciek Czachurski, 19, a Polish national of Edrick Road, Edgware, was due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court charged with robbery and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

A man carrying a firearm entered the Station Road bank at 10am on November 10 and took £1,000 in cash from a till.

Mr Czachurski was remanded in custody but refused to leave his cell in order to appear in court earlier today. A new court date will be scheduled.
