A leading school governor from Whetstone has been chosen to join experts to share ideas on the future of education in the UK.

Tim Guilford, chairman of governors at Queenswell Junior School in Sweets Way and director of All About Educational, will take part in the Education Show 2014 on Friday, March 21.

Mr Guilford has been a school governor for more than 15 years and chairman for eight years.

He said: “I am a firm believer in the power of education to change lives. Most teachers start out feeling this way, some lose it along the way, but I am happy to say I never have.

“The role of management in education is, I believe, primarily to liberate teachers and allow them to teach in a way that can change lives. I look forward to speaking at the Education Show to share my experiences with others.”

The Education Show 2014 will take place at the NEC in Birmingham from March 20 to 22.
