Elderly people spoke about what a community centre means to them at a special event.

The Meritage Centre, in Church End, Hendon, is run by charity Age UK and holds various social events to help pensioners meet new friends.

GLA member for Barnet Andrew Dismore spoke to Peggy Hinchin, 92, and Elizabeth Nutman, 71, about the various activities at the centre.
