Work has started on the next phase of a major housing project in Mill Hill.
Countryside Properties and Annington Homes are in the early stages of building 2,174 homes in Drew Avenue, off Bittacy Hill, in the Mill Hill East area.
On Thursday, directors and representatives from the developers marked the start of building work for the latest phase of the project, The Mount.
A total of 133 homes, a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments and three and four-bedroom townhouses, are expected to be completed later this year.
Ian Hudson, director for Annington Homes said: “This is an important next step for Countryside Annington. We’re very proud of the quality of the new homes and the style of this development.
"I have no doubt it will be popular and, as a desirable neighbourhood, will continue to grow.”
