Middlesex University students have seen their animations screened in front of leading industry figures at an international film festival.

Twenty-two students’ films were chosen for the festival in Slovenia, while others at the Hendon based university collaborated with Slovenian students to make a one minute animation called Mr Porker.

It tells a story of revenge in which a predatory pig chases, captures and slaughters a man, whose meat is then sold in a supermarket.

Middlesex graduate and animation technician, Izzy Barszcz, from Finchley Central, said: “The idea for the film was inspired by previously mixed soundtrack made by Middlesex University students.

"After a session of brainstorming with Slovenian students we came up with this quite provoking narrative story of the Pigman’s revenge.

“The animation process was very complex and we got completely absorbed by it.

“The animation workshop was a thrilling and mind-blowing adventure. It was mixture of a huge amount of hard work, loads of fun, and most of all - intensive learning.”
