Police cordoned off a house in Aitken Road while they carried out their investigation last October.
A man accused of murdering his 69-year-old mother will make a plea next week.
Mohammed Badvie, 43, of Aitken Road, Barnet, will appear at the Central Criminal Court on Thursday, January 23.
Police were called to an address in Aitken Road shortly after 1.40am on Saturday, October 5, last year.
After forcing entry to the house, officers found the body of Badri Dabir, who was pronounced dead at 2.10am. A post mortem gave the cause of death as head injuries.
