A 30-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in North Finchley in the early hours of Sunday.

Police are investigating the attack, which took place near the junction of Torrington Park and Friary Road at approximately 2.10am.

Officers said a police cordon that remained in place this afternoon along the Nether Street walkway, in front of the Artsdepot at Tally Ho Corner, was connected to their investigation.

A representative from Barnet Police said officers from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating.

The attack allegedly took place near the junction of Torrington Park and Friary Road (A) and police said a cordon outside the Artsdepot at Tally Ho Corner (B) was related to the investigation
