A woman charged with setting fire to her council house while her kitten was inside is due to appear in court next week.

Terri Dunn faces two counts of arson with intent to danger life after two council-owned properties in which she was living caught fire last year.

One of the incidents occurred on May 22 in Abingdon Road, though police have not been able to provide details of the second alleged offence.

Firefighters had to break into one of the houses and rescue the woman’s kitten, which was resuscitated with an oxygen mask.

The 40-year-old is due to appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday.
