A best selling children’s author hopes to inspire students to learn more about history and literature when she visits a library.
Michelle Paver, who wrote Gods and Warriors, will speak to children at East Barnet Secondary School when she launches the second book in the series later this month.
The 400 pupils from Years 5 to 7 have been invited to take part in the Authors Aloud event by Barnet Borough Council.
The writer will speak to pupils about her books and then take part in a question and answer session.
Hugh Seckleman, head of English at East Barnet School, said: "East Barnet School is delighted to host the launch of ‘The Burning Shadow’, Michelle Paver’s second book in the series Gods and Warriors.
"This event brings together local schools to discuss characters, picture life in the Mediterranean Bronze Age and for students to gain an insight into life as a writer.”
