Conservative MP Theresa Villier will stand for re-election in Chipping Barnet next year after she was given the vote of approval by her Tory peers last night.
The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland was reselected to stand at the 2015 General Election by the Chipping Barnet Conservative Association for the third time.
She said: "I am delighted. I very much enjoy my busy programme of work and campaigning in Chipping Barnet on issues such as protecting our green spaces, backing our great schools and supporting local high streets and businesses.
“I am looking forward to the general election campaign and I'll continue to work hard to seek to persuade residents to give me the chance of a third term in Parliament fighting for the interests of Chipping Barnet.
“I would like to thank the Chipping Barnet Conservatives for giving me this opportunity.”
