Parents can collect vouchers for sports and healthy eating kits for their child’s school or after-school club from a Potters Bar supermarket.
Sainbury’s in Mutton Lane is again taking part in the chain’s nationwide Active Kids Scheme, to which 35 schools and organisations including Guides, Scouts and sports teams in the area, have registered.
Shoppers are given vouchers depending on how much they spend, which can then be used by any of the registered groups or schools to buy equipment to help children eat well and stay active.
Last year, The Wroxham School collected more than 18,000 vouchers and was able to buy footballs, catching nets and medals.
