Aspiring politicians who want to shape the future of the borough will be put in a ‘hot seat’ ahead of the youth parliament elections.
Candidates aged between 11 and 18 will take part in a hustings-style event, where they will be quizzed on the important issues facing Barnet.
People have until today to nominate themselves for a position on the council, which will give them the chance to influence businesspeople, leaders and politicians.
Four winning candidates will represent Barnet at national meetings, the annual sitting and the House of Commons debate.
The event will be held on Thursday, February 14 from 5.30pm to 8pm at Woodhouse College, Woodhouse Road, Finchley.
Elections take place between the February 24 and March 7.
