Two men charged in connection with a kidnapping during which shots were fired at police officers have had their case adjourned.

David Rhoden, 28, and Clayton McKenzie, 35, will appear at St Albans Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on Friday, February 14.

Mr Rhoden, of Flowers Close, Neasden, has been charged with kidnap, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and attempted murder, and Mr McKenzie, of High Street, Harlesden, has been charged with kidnap.

Police tried to stop a car near junction four of the M1 at approximately 12pm on Saturday, November 16 last year.

They chased the vehicle into Broadhurst Avenue in Edgware, where two men got out.

Shots were fired at police officers but no one was injured.

A third man, who is believed to have been kidnapped, was found inside the vehicle. He was not injured.
