Supermarket staff are preparing to jump out of a plane to raise money for Sport Relief.

Seven members of staff at Sainsbury’s in Potters Bar will make the leap as part of their fundraising efforts for the annual charity campaign.

The supermarket will also organise Sport Relief Games at Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn Garden City this year in an attempt to raise hundreds of pounds from Friday, March 21 to Sunday, March 23.

Store manager Paul Stephens said: “We’ve got some exciting fundraising plans this year which include a staggering seven of our colleagues sky diving as well as other activities such as head shaving, dress up days, car washes and other wacky events.

"We can’t wait to get sporty for Sport Relief and help to make a difference.”

Fundraising activities at the Potters Bar store will also see staff demonstrating their dance moves in a Sport Relief flash mob on Friday March 21.
