A charity aiming to increase the number of people with learning disabilities who vote in general elections is running a free workshop in Finchley next week.
Just ten per cent of people with learning disabilities voted in the last election, a study by Dimensions found.
The organisation now wants to engage people in the voting system with its Love Your Vote campaign.
A workshop, hosted with the Houses of Parliament Outreach Service, will be held at the Greek Cypriot Britannia Centre, in Britannia Road, North Finchley on Friday, March 21.
The workshop, part of a series across the capital, will cover all aspects of Parliament and the electoral system, using easy-read materials and presentations, and is open to anyone in the learning disability community.
