A man charged with murdering a woman at her home in Colindale has been remanded in custody.

Nicolae Patraucean, 20, a Romanian national of Chichester Court, Stanmore, is suspected of murdering 55-year-old Rivka Holden, of Falcon Way.

A police car was flagged down and alerted to a woman suffering stab or slash wounds in the street at 12.12pm on Sunday.

Paramedics were called but she was pronounced dead at the scene. Although officers are still waiting for formal identification, they believe the deceased is Rivka Holden.

Mr Patraucean appeared in custody at Hendon Magistrates' Court yesterday, but was remanded in custody to appear at Central Criminal Court tomorrow.

The victim's Red Hyundai i20, which has the registration RE62 AEA, has been stolen and remains missing. It was last known to have been in the Kingsbury area.
