Hertsmere Borough Council will hold two sessions to show residents proposals for high streets, where the greenbelt is and new houses.

If planning permission is approved, the bus depot, in High Street, could become an estimated 70 new homes if no alternative site is found.

Sunny Bank School, in Field Road, which closed in 2008, has also been earmarked for 43 new homes.

There are also proposals to remove parts of Heath Road from the green belt.

The plans are detailed in the authority’s Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document, which is up for consultation until April 14.

It will be held on Thursday, April 3, between 12pm and 8pm at the Wyllyotts Centre, Darkes Lane, Potters Bar.
