A woman hit by a train on the Northern line yesterday remains in hospital in a serious condition.

The woman suffered head and hand injuries when she was struck by the train at Colindale Underground Station at 10.25am.

British Transport Police say they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

The woman was flown by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital, where police say she remains in a serious but stable condition.

The London Ambulance Service also sent paramedics and its hazardous area response team to the scene.
