Robot footballers dribbled, tackled, shot and scored in a match to showcase collaboration between Tottenham Hotspur at Middlesex University.
Students teamed up with two Tottenham Hotspur players to test out the university’s football playing robots in a remote-controlled match.
Spurs players Harry Kane and Zeki Fryers swapped their usual footwork for thumb control, with striker Kane eventually taking the title.
The players' visit allowed them to see the technologies and hands-on educational experiences students at the new Tottenham University Technical College (UTC) will have access to.
Known as Myrtle Robots, the robots are a teaching tool designed by staff members at the university and used by computer science students. They are equipped with Wi-Fi and a webcam, allowing them to be controlled by a remote control joystick and Twitter feeds running off a live web server.
