Students at the UK’s first Greek Orthodox secondary school learned about European politics when an MEP came to visit.
Marina Yannakoudis, the Conservative MEP for London, spoke to pupils at St Andrew the Apostle School, which is based in the North London Business Park, on Wednesday.
The politician was given a tour of the school and spoke about the role of the European Parliament and her work as an MEP.
She said: “The school has a wonderful atmosphere to it and has managed to combine a strong community spirit with an international flavour.
“If my children where younger I’d be very pleased to send them to such an inspiring and nurturing school.”
