Work to improve a notorious roundabout will begin this month.
Improvement work will start on the A1 northbound between the Stirling Corner Roundabout, on the cusp of Borehamwood and Barnet, on Tuesday, April 15.
The road has previously been labelled a 'death trap' by campaigners who are fighting to see the speed limit reduced down the busy road.
A campaign for 24 hour traffic lights on the roundabout proved successful last year.
Work will finish by Friday, May 9.
Diversions will be in place and work will be held between 10pm and 5.30am on Monday to Thursdays, and between 11pm and 6am Fridays.
