Teenager charged with armed robberies in Potters Bar chemists

A teenager will appear in court charged with two armed robberies in Potters Bar.

Nicholas Haigh, of Northaw Road West, Northaw, was arrested in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The first robbery occurred in High Street, at midday on Monday, April 14 and the second on Monday, April 14, at 8.30am in Southgate Road.

On both occasions, a robber entered the store and is alleged to have produced a gun and demanded that staff hand over a specific drug.

The 18-year-old has been charged with two robberies and two counts of possession of a firearm, and will appear before Hatfield Remand Court today.
