Plans to revamp a shopping centre in High Barnet have been submitted to Barnet Borough Council.
Williams Pears group, the owners of The Spires in High Street, have handed a planning application to the authority as part of the first phase of a regeneration project.
In February, the owners withdrew initial plans to get rid of the historic twin spires that form part of the entrance to the building, which used to be a Methodist church.
The new proposals, which retain the spires, include new stone paving inside the centre between its entrance in High Street and the first courtyard.
Italian delicatessen and restaurant chain Carluccio’s will also open a new restaurant in the High Street.
