An award-winning choral singer hopes to bring a burst of music to punters at a Colindale pub.
Emily Ovenden, a member of the Mediaeval Babes group, is the new landlady at the Chandos Arms in Colindale Avenue.
She and her husband Are Kolltveit plan to host a fun day at the pub to introduce the family - including their three-year-old son Saxon - to people in the area.
She said: “We’re new to the area so it will be a great chance to meet people and become a part of the community.
“Music is a big part of my life and so we want to incorporate that here, hosting all different kinds of bands.”
There will be a bouncy castle, balloon modelling and face painting as well as free pizza and cocktails from 2pm to 7pm tomorrow.
There will also be an official launch party from 5pm on Saturday May 10, with a performance from Frank Moon’s Hotclub Quartet.
