A Middlesex University lecturer is celebrating after seeing his artwork exhibited in Paris.
John Timberlake, a Fine Art lecturer at the Hendon based university, created the display called Landscapes Conceived for Drones and Other Sequences which features a selection of his paintings on paper and canvas.
Mr Timberlake was inspired to create his pieces after seeing the 19th century oil sketches by Hudson River school painter Edwin Church at London's National Gallery.
He said: “I started thinking about Church’s pieces and their relationship with European expansion into the Americas, and these paintings imagine a sort of update to that traditional form of landscape sketch.”
His exhibition will run until May 24 at La galerie des Petits Carreaux.
