A team of market researchers swapped their pens for spades as they spent a day volunteering at a care farm.

Seven Ipsos MORI volunteers visited SweetTree Fields in Mill Hill which provides a range of guided horticultural activities aimed at supporting some of the area’s most vulnerable people.

The team helped plant wild flowers and bulbs, as well as clearing the entrance road and digging an area ready to grow fruit, vegetables and herbs at the farm which is run by SweetTree Farming For All.

Alastair Cox, a research executive and volunteer from Ipsos MORI, said: “As a team we wanted to volunteer doing something a little different with constructive results and ideally outdoors, so helping out at a care farm was a great fit.

“Having read about all the positive things the project does we were delighted to go along to help for a day. Personally, I’ve been involved in other volunteering projects but I’d never done anything like this before.

“Overall we all had a lot of fun, while hopefully making a difference and we definitely plan to return again in the summer.”

Jude Allen, from SweetTree Farming for All, said: “Having the time and support of corporate groups such as this is hugely important for us. It enables us to expand the work we are doing in so many ways, helping us benefit even more people."
