Families are being encouraged to strap on their helmets and get pedalling in a charity bike ride this summer.
North London Hospice, which has sites in Finchley and Enfield, wants more cyclists to sign up to its annual cycle ride around the Hertfordshire countryside.
Participants can opt between a 20-mile or 40-mile route that starts and ends at Queenswood School in Hatfield, on Sunday June 8.
Fundraising manager Jennifer Sheehy said: “It’s a great event the whole family can take part in together. Last year, we had more than 200 cyclists take part. Hopefully it will attract both the serious and more leisurely cyclist.
“All the care we provide to our patients and their families is free. This event is part of the hospice's fundraising programme that aims to raise more than £7million each year to run and develop our services.”
The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life limiting illness.
Registration for the cycle ride is £10 per adult and £5 per child. To register visit www.northlondonhospice.org or call 020 8446 2288.
