A man has died following a fire in a block of flats last night.
Firefighters were called shortly after 7pm to a blaze in a second floor flat in Potters Road, Meadway, New Barnet.
When they entered the property, firefighters found the body of a man in the front room.
Approximately 20 people were evacuated from the three storey building, but there were no other injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by London Fire Brigade’s fire investigation team and the Metropolitan Police.
