Voters in Barnet go to the polls today to choose the borough’s new councillors.
Barnet Borough Council is currently made up of 38 Conservatives, 21 Labour, three Liberal Democrats and one Independent.
But with all seats in the authority’s 21 wards up for grabs, the make-up could be vastly different after results are announced.
Candidates from all major political parties, including Greens and UKIP, are vying to be elected.
However, after the death of Green Party candidate Jessica Yorke, the poll in Colindale ward has been cancelled.
As is required by electoral law, a new election will be held in the ward within 35 working days of the May 22 election date.
Polls open at 7am and will shut at 10pm. Results will be counted and announced tomorrow.
