A theatre school backed by Dragons' Den entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne, is celebrating after being nominated for a international award.

Razzamataz Barnet is a finalist in the 2014 International What's On 4 Junior Awards after receiving nearly 90,000 online votes.

The awards celebrate the very best children's activity providers in the UK, Ireland and Australia.

Ever since Razzamataz Theatre Schools entered the Dragons' Den in 2007, managers say it has consistently tried to grow and develop the best performing arts training possible.

Principal Michael French said: "Providing a top class service for children and their families is something we take great pride in.

"The feedback that we receive from students is truly heart-warming. We have had parents say to us that their child has gone from being so shy that they couldn't even lift their hand in class, to being able to recite a poem in front of the whole assembly. That to us is the most positive part of what we do as a business."
