Football star Emmanuel Eboué took some time out to surprise Arsenal-mad children.

The former Arsenal player, who is currently playing for Turkish side Galatasaray, visited TFA Totteridge FC at the Ashmole Academy, in Southgate.

The defender helped hand out awards to the children who helped their side win six titles and seven cups - with seven players signing up for Premiership clubs.

Over 500 people attended the awards ceremony, including players, parents and coaches from across Barnet and Enfield.

Chairman Socratis Socratous said: "It was a real honour having Eboué at the awards.   "Not only did he high-five every single player, he also signed all their playing kits.

“After signing the shirts and all the team photos he insisted on staying to hand out all the trophies.  There were even selfies with the mums, coaches and catering staff.”
