A pair of PCSOs came to the rescue of a group of elderly people who were left without water and electricity during last week's heatwave.
PCSOs Cheryll Lavell and Graham Tippett from the Potters Bar and Shenley Neighbourhood Team were speaking to security manager Dave Norman in Tesco when he received a call for help from Hudson Court Housing Manager Irene Newham.
A leak in their water system meant they had to shut off the water and electricity leaving elderly residents with no water or power.
Tesco in Mutton Lane donated bottles of water to the residents, which the PSCOS delivered.
PCSO Graham Tippett said: “We delivered the water to all the residents over the three floors – using stairs because the lifts weren’t working. We were more than happy to help.”
