A children’s hospice is taking part in a new campaign aimed at helping give parents and carers a much-needed break.

Noah’s Ark in Victors Way, Barnet, is taking part in the We Care 24/7 campaign launched by Together for Short Lives to coincide with this year’s Children’s Hospice Week.

As part of We Care 24/7, the hospice is encouraging people to get behind its mission to provide round-the-clock care by helping to raise funds for the charity.

Later this year Noah’s Ark will begin construction of a new hospice building to offer overnight support to families.

Ellie, whose daughter Bella is supported by Noah’s Ark, said: “It is now too difficult to place the burden of caring for our daughter on family and friends, even for one night.

“A nearby hospice which has all the necessary facilities where we could happily leave her, knowing she would be looked after by people that cared, would enable us to rest and recuperate from the relentless strain we are under.

“Noah’s Ark needs this opportunity to bring all its exceptional services into one place so that life-limited and life-threatened children can benefit from the team around the child care.”
